The teachers in a State Board face several challenges:

      Knowing Their Students Well

It is essential for a teacher to communicate effectively with the students. A teacher should interact with the students effectively and should be accountable for the students overall personality development. A friendly approach would enable students to open up on issues faced by them.

Knowing The Various Learning Capabilities of Students

The greatest challenge for a teacher is in comprehending the various learning abilities of the students. Students vary in their grasping, memory, concentration, ability to learn, etc. A teacher must be able to handle different students. An excellent teacher would always focus on slow learners and should avoid comparing and criticizing the students on the basis of marks and performance.

      Identify When The Students Underperforms

Students have to not only excel in academics but also have to cater to unrealistic parental expectations. This could be stressful. The greatest challenge for a teacher would be to motivate and encourage the students when they underperform.

Being A Bridge Between The Management – Parent - Students

Parents must be responsible for the development of their children. A teacher must communicate with the parents and school management the progress of a student and recommend any changes required for the student’s overall growth.

The teaching profession is very specialized and requires in-depth training to gain expertise in the field. Teaching is considered as simple and easy, which is not true. A good teacher requires certain fundamental qualities such as communication skills, the capability to hold the attention of young minds, the ability to inspire confidence, and, ability to lead by example.

As a teacher, you would require a Bachelors in Education (B.Ed) degree. One can also complete a Masters in Education (M.Ed) later, to add to qualifications. At the same, comprehensive knowledge of the subject is also critical. Basic Training Certificate (BTC), Diploma in Education (D.Ed) and Teacher Training Certificate (TTC) are other teaching courses that would help a teacher secure a job in India.
