Oversee the design and development of the overall curriculum.
Develop and deliver a range of programs of study at various levels. Participate in validation and revalidation of courses, and student admission and assessment.
Support knowledge transfer including practical skills, methods and techniques. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
Develop instructional materials. Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. Evaluate student work.
Supervise student research or internship work. Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences. Advise students on academic or career matters.
Primary responsibility for leading the research culture in their department. Write grant proposals to procure external research funding.
Present research findings at conferences. Seek external funding for carrying out research activities.
Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues. Provide professional consulting services to government or industry. Participate in campus and community events.
